SPICULA is a conceptual fashion series exploring the intersection of speculative biomorphism, couture futurism, and post-human presence. Each silhouette draws inspiration from nature’s defense systems (scales, carapaces, spines) while embracing a futuristic aesthetic where the body becomes an artifact.

The design approach fuses iridescent synthetic textures with patterns reminiscent of deep-sea fauna, exotic insects, and mycelial organisms. These garments hover between sculpture and clothing, acting as protective shells — second skins. They suggest a world where fashion becomes armor, and the wearer, a being both fragile and indomitable.

Visually, SPICULA channels cyber-oriental atmospheres, futuristic runway codes, and alien luxury. Bodies are decontextualized, ethereal, immersed in a glowing red haze, as if parading through an alternate dimension.

This project reimagines beauty in a world shaped by technological, climatic, and identity shifts. It invites a vision of fashion where glamour is inseparable from the living, and clothing becomes speculative poetry.
